At CWP 68d one male Cettis Warbler;  2 singing Water Rail in the reedbed; 3 male Blackcap and over 5 Reed Bunting.

 

At CWP 68c the hide is now fully operational having been moved from its previous location.  This hide now gives an excellent view into the lake where a Green Sandpiper; 15 teal; 6 Shoveler and 3 Shelduck were noted.

 

CWP 82 produced 5 Little Ringed Plover; a Yellow Wagtail and 2 White Wagtail.

 

At CWP 74 a female Little Ringed Plover was noted whilst at CWP72 2 House Martin were seen with over 10 Swallow and over 50 Sand Martin.

On CWP 84a this afternoon there were six Shelducks, a Gadwall and a Little Grebe. On CWP 85 there were 11 Shovelers (five pairs displaying). (Bob Shiret per Gloster Birder)..

 

BirdGuides is also reporting a summer plumaged Red-Necked Grebe on CWP 81 at mid-day ( also a drake Smew).
