At South Cerney a red kite was seen flying over (Jim Harris).   There have been a number of recent sightings of red kite in the general area of Cirencester so it is worth taking a second look at 'buzzards'.

 

CWP 34:  Over 85 black headed gull; 6 red crested pochard;  2 pairs of tufted duck; 1 pair of great crested grebe and 1 pair of mute swan.  (Gareth Harris)

 

CWP 74: Over 90 black headed gull; 1 male and 9 female goldeneye; 1f ruddy duck and 2 pairs of great crested grebe (Gareth Harris, Nick Adams) 3 common tern (Nigel Pleass)

 

CWP 16:  One artic tern; 250+ swallow; 250+ sand martin; 50+ house martin and a mallard with a brood of 6. (Gareth Harris, Nick Adams)

 

CWP 95: 9 redshank (Nigel Pleass)

 

CWP 111/111b ( Whelford Pools, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust)  Green Sandpiper this afternoon, also 30 Sand Martins, a Swallow, 12 Red Crested Pochards and a male Reed Bunting. (Paul Masters per Gloster Birder).
