The Cotswold Water Park

CWP 111: 25 Coot; 11 Gadwall; 2 canada goose; 1 Grey Heron; 2 Mallard; 1 Tufted duck; 3 Great crested grebe; 5+ Goldcrest;  3 Mute swan;  11 Black headed gull (Gareth Harris)

CWP 111b: 5 Coot;  1 Grey Heron;  2 Great crested grebe (Gareth Harris)

CWP 125: 82 Coot;  142 Lesser Black Backed Gull;  12 Black headed gull;  1 Mute swan (Gareth Harris)

CWP 126: 2+ Reed Bunting;  2+ Skylark;  15+ Goldfinch;  55+ Linnet;  10+ Meadow Pipit (Gareth Harris)

CWP 114: 733 Pochard;  219 Tufted duck;  28 Red crested pochard;  26 Shoveler;  54+ Great crested grebe;  3 Ruddy Duck;  1 Kingfisher;  1 Chiffchaff;  20+ cormorant;  1 Little Grebe (Gareth Harris) 

Note: Male Pochard, still in partial eclipse, found on Lake 114 amongst several hundred Pochard bearing a bright green, or possibly sky blue nasal saddle. Saddle bears a 2 digit code, repeated 3 times; once on each side and once on the “bridge of the nose”. Bird was too distant to confirm code.

Lots of Common Darters still around (Robin Griffiths)

Robin has kindly allowed us to add a link to his website which records sightings at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust reserve at Blakehill. An excellent location to add on to any visits to the Cotswold Water Park.
