Birds of Wiltshire
The Wiltshire Ornithological Society has announced the availability of its long awaited book 'Birds of Wiltshire'. On the bookshelves in April it is currently possible to order this book at a special pre-publication price.
Supported by many organisations including the RSPB and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust this book records the state of the County's birds at the beginning of the new Millennium. A staggering 848 pages covers the 308 species of bird that have been recorded in Wiltshire. 5000 hours have been spent by 160 observers over six years to produce the information contained in this account.
With original artwork from many leading illustrators and maps outlining the distribution of Wiltshire birds this book is for you whether you are a serious ornithologist or just want to know how this County supports its birdlife.
