Work Party to manage reed beds at Lakes 68c/68d, Waterhay,
We have set dates for work parties at lakes 68c/68d Waterhay this autumn/winter to continue management of the reed bed and surrounding willow carr. As in previous years, we will aim to continue the management works aiming to improve the site for wildlife and to improving viewing of the site from the adjacent footpath. Works so far have made a fantastic difference to the site, increasing the area of reed, restoring the open pool in 68d and improving views into the site.
If you are interested in helping with the work party of Sunday 9th September, please let me know so we can plan for numbers and teams and tools. If we have enough people we can split into teams and achieve so much more.
You will need wellies (or waders if you have them), waterproofs, lunch and refreshments. All kit is provided although you may wish to bring your own gloves. We will start at 930 and finish at approximately 3.30/4pm.
I look forward to hearing from you
With Thanks, Gareth Harris
