The Great White Egret (see 10 August) is now known to have been ringed on 2 June 2007 at Lac de Grand-Lieu (Loire Atlantique, France) as young in nest, this is its first sighting.  The bird moved on Sunday night/Monday morning and its current whereabouts is not known.  Gareth Harris
