The following are the highlights and summaries of various WeBS counts for today.

CWP 26, 29, 30, 35, 61, 62 and 95:  Great northern diver (flying over CWP 29 towards CWP 41/42), redhead smew (with pochard on CWP 30), 2 female/imm greater scaup (in centre of CWP 29).  --  Mallard (103), tufted duck (478), great crested grebe(75), lapwing (369), pochard (178), gadwall (42), little egret (1), goosander (13), goldeneye (5), red crested pochard (88), wigeon (110) and teal (90).  Nick Adams / DarrenTonge

CWP 74, 68a, 68b, 68c, 68d: (Cleveland Lakes 802 Coot, 76 Mallard, 14 Moorhen, 41 Great Crested Grebe, 100 Pochard, 140 Wigeon, 98 Tufted Duck, 33 Gadwall, 86 Teal, 5 Ruddy Duck, 5 Goldeneye (2 males, 3 redheads), 30 Cormorant, 7 Mute Swan, 2 Grey Heron, 4 Canada Goose, 1 Greylag Goose, 160 Black Headed Gull, 4 Little Egret, 94 Shoveler, 86 Lapwing, 1 Common Gull, 4 Pintail (3 males, 1 female). (Total: 1634 waterbirds).   Plus flock of 45 Meadow Pipit, 3 Green Woodpecker, 1 Jay, 4 Reed Bunting, 1 Cetti’s Warbler.  Also a very unseasonal Sedge Warbler at CWP 68c in a bramble bush!  Gareth Harris
