Great White Egret was seen to land in reeds at CWP 68c at 11.20am today. J.Clack/ J.Prowse. A Great White Egret later flew overhead at 1400 - 1415 and was then found at 1530 feeding with flock of 68 Greylag Geese on pasture adjacent to CWP 83. Was feeding in full view on pasture, looked to be feeding on worms although hard to tell from that distance. The bird is unringed which makes it a different bird to that seen in CWP in August/September 2007. Bird flew onto shoreline of CWP 83 at 1600. WOS Trip; Gareth Harris.
The Green Winged Teal has not been reported to this website since since its first report. There is an entry on Birdguides today stating drake Green Winged Teal on CWP 83 this afternoon. Anyone finding this bird please let us know.
