A gull showing a number of characteristics of a 4th winter American herring gull (larus smithsonianus) was seen in a CWP gull roost on 12th January. Due to the liquid nature of the gull roosts on CWP, the best places currently to look for this bird (largest roosts over the last week or so) would be the pre-roost on CWP12 and the roosts on CWP 16 and 74.    Nick Adams

The adult kumlien's gull was also seen on CWP 12 and then CWP 16 on 3 January. Kim Milsom
