The weather in the Falkland Islands for the past week or so has been very wintery with lots of snow and freezing temperatures so I have been doing very little birding.

This morning I went down to the dump to have a look for tagged Turkey Vultures, in the hour and a half that I was there I saw 9 tagged birds numbered 01, 34, 35, 104, 109, 111, 121, 128 & 132

Today was the first time that I have seen Bird 01 that was tagged in August 2007.

Today was the first time that I have seen Bird 128 that was tagged in August 2008                       

Also at the dump there were large numbers of Kelp & Dolphin Gulls and a juvenile Southern Caracara
