I went out this morning for a look around the ponds on Cape Pembroke, not a lot about apart from a couple of pairs of Magellanic Snipe.

This afternoon I went out to Bertha’s Beach, on one of the flood ponds by the car park a single Black Necked Swan allowed me to approach the edge of the pond and get the below image.

Further along the coast on another pond there was a pair of Flying Steamer Ducks, Silver Teal, Speckled Teal, Chiloe Wigeon, Silvery Grebe & 16 more Black Necked Swans.

Right by one of the tracks I came across the below Two Banded Plover sitting on a nest, I placed a couple of large rocks a few feet away either side of the nest to stop any vehicle driving over the nest.

Out in the kelp beds there were lots of South American Terns & Brown Hooded Gulls.
