Birding in the Falkland Islands

• Friday, January 5, 2007 - 5th January 2007

Weather still very wet so not two much birding this year so far. One trip out to Berkeley Sound yesterday in strong South westerly winds produced plenty of Black Browed Albatrosses and Sooty Shearwaters. A few Gentoo's and a couple of Rockhoppers near Kidney Island.

The South American Tern still has two young on the Public Jetty even though about a 1000 people walked past it today coming off the Norweigan Crown that is on a day visit.
