Birding in the Falkland Islands

• Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 11th April 2007 Atlantic Petrel

While on a very windy trip around to Berkeley Sound this afternoon saw some really good seabirds in force 6-7 North Easterly winds

Along with the Sooty Shearwaters and Black Browed Albatross there were

White Chinned Petrel 5

Northern Giant Petrel 2

Southern Fulmar 2

But the star birds of the day were a couple of Atlantic Petrels one was quite distance but the other was less than 10 metres away at one point.
