Birding in the Falkland Islands

• Monday, June 16, 2008 - Falkland Thrush

A quick visit to Gypsy Cove this morning was much more productive than yesterday with plenty of birds about including 15+ Long Tailed Meadowlarks, 12 Black Chinned Siskins, 8 Falkland Thrush, 4 Dark Faced Ground Tyrants, 3 Grass Wrens. On the beach there were 2 Black Crowned Night Herons and 4 Magellanic Oystercatchers.

At the car park there was a large flock of 200+ Black Throated Finch.
