Birding in the Falkland Islands

• Sunday, June 22, 2008 - Flying Steamer Ducks

At Yorke Bay pond this morning saw my first Flying Steamer Ducks in the Stanley area for over six months.

                                

                     

Quite a lot of Upland Geese around the pond as well as a pair of Ruddy Headed Geese, the only other birds on the pond were the now resident pair of White Tufted Grebe.

 

 

Overhead there were 20+ Turkey Vulture
