Brookie's Diary

• Wednesday, March 22, 2006 - Hols

Weekend away over the 18th to Cambridge and Dorset. Visiting the Ouse Washes added a few good year birds to the 2006 tally. At the Ouse Washes Whooper Swan, Water Pipit, Green Sandpiper. We moved onn then to Dorset for a few days and a visit to Radipole Lake is always on the cards giving us Cetti's Warbler, Spoonbill and Little Egret which we missed at the Ouse. We did once again dip on the ever elusive Bittern which was seen at Radipole. No migrants this visit which I was hoping for and it was very cold.
