Brookie's Diary

• Saturday, October 22, 2005 - Featherstone

An excuse to try and catch up with the Laughing Gull today was a shopping trip out to Freeport at Castleford. Of course a detour had to be made to the reported site of the Laughing Gull at Went Lane were it had been in a field all week. On arrival several birders had been watching it but had just gone out of site when I arrived. An half hours wait in the rain produced the neceassary sightings of the 2nd winter bird in flight and happily running around on deck. So there it was Laughing Gull  , another first   and then we went shopping.
