Brookie's Diary

• Friday, May 4, 2007 - Local Woods

I had a local afternoon out to day to try and catch the reported Wood Warblers at a local wood, and then may be Ring Ouzel and Redstart. The first quarry wasn't so hard to find exactly where they had been reported two Wood Warblers battling it out side by side. Along with Great Spotted Woodpecker, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Jay and Swallow. Good start to the afternoon onward to try and find the elusive on to the local moors. More Willow Warblers, Red Grouse and Linnets. No sign of the reported Ring Ouzels thou time had beaten me along with Redstarts as well
