Another local club area patch this time around High Hoyland. The forecast was good but on arrival it look as if rain showers and wind was the order of the day, and it was. I did manage a couple of hours around the sunflower beds seeing Red Legged Partride in good numbers along with a charm of Goldfinch c50+. Flocks of mixed thrushs' Redwings, Fieldfares, and Mistle Thrush in the hedgerows. Kestrel overhead and tit flocks making there way in the hedgerow Blue, Great, Long Tailed. and the odd Chaffinch. In the fields I caught sight of Pheasant, Woodpigeon and Collard Dove and that was the couple of hours gone once again |
