Brookie's Diary

• Friday, January 4, 2008 - Pugneys

A trip around Pugneys CP this time I took a walk around the Redlands site. Birds seen here included Little Grebe, Lapwing, Golden Plover, Wigeon, Redshank and Dunlin (1).  After Redlands I moved on to the Nature reserve to see Common and Black Headed Gulls and the Male Red Crested Pochard, other duck seen were Gadwall, Ruddy Duck, Mallard ,Pochard, Teal and Tufted Duck., Great Spotted Woodpecker seen behind the hide along with Blue, Great and Long Tailed Tits. Bittern was difficult to see amoungst the reeds but if you watched closely you could see him.

End to another couple of hours out giving 37 species >List <
