• Saturday, February 9, 2008 - Night Heron

A reported Night Heron would be a first for the Huddersfield Club Area if accepted. With my wife and Grandson in tow we made the dash to Scout Dyke reservoir at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. It had been reported late morning. As we came into the car park the said bird could be seen clearly in the bushes at the far side of the res. We stopped and enjoyed the bird a full Adult bird along with plumes. It was not reported the day after, sunday Heres a photo, poor shot, my excuse is that it was hand held thru somebody elses scope (usual excuses)
