Brookie's Diary

• Thursday, February 23, 2006 - At Last a Start to 2006

At long last its taken a while due to one thing or another but Friday the 17th of February was the first day out. An hour at most to catch up on some local Redpolls at High Hoyland. Parking up at the Church and walking down the footapth to the back of the church produced this years first birds, Blackbird, Chaffich, Goldfinch, Robins, Greenfinch and after a wait the Redpolls showed up mixed in with the Bramblings. Lesser and one Mealy. Nuthatch was seen also along the hedgerow.

Well thats the start lets hope the next day is not along time away
