17 Feb 2008 - Several hills were on fire and burnt overnight.
Early next morning, helicopters flew above the hills to put out the fire.

At the same time, far away from the burnt areas, a Black Kite carried something, circling in the sky. Another Black Kite flew above, watching.
Epilogue:
February is the breeding season of Black Kite.

While I was Kite-watching, twoYellow-crested Cockatoos flew toward a balcony, landed on the fence and ate the fruits! (Festive plant for the welcoming of Chinese New Year) Here was one of the birds. 
Winter season
The Black Kites soared slowly and scattered overhead, looked like sesame!

29 Dec 2007 sunset at 17:49. Beaufort wind scale 3 (throughly). Temperature ~18 C
I took a snapshot count at 18:03, Black Kites 300+.
At 18:11, around 100 Black Kites arrived from the south direction.
Black Kites mostly roosted by 18:15.
In addition to the roosted Kites, small flocks and individuals arrived, some flew straight into the valley:

18:24 the sky turned dark, no Kite was seen.

It was so comfortable to Kite-watching on a wind and sunny day by the sea. The Black Kites soared, chasing each other and frequenting the stoop. A short while rested on trees, they soared again!
This was my first watercolour Black Kite drawing, I was learning to use the medium.
In the middle of drawing, I felt stuck and groped for how to continue.
Then I rested, watched TV and relaxed. My family gave me support and encouragement.
Before drawing, I prayed.
Gratefully, I communicated with the colour, the tools, the crystal water and Black Kite -
how could I celebrate your essence and beauty in joy?
...
It worth a celebration! I photographed the drawing under sunlight.
