24-Apr-2008 - Vote against the hunting of migrant birds on Malta

please vote NO to stop the uneccessary SLAUGHTER of millions of migrant birds that fly over the island of Malta every spring. The hunting on Malta has without doubt contributed significantly to the frightening decline of many european breeding species such as the Turtle Dove (almost a rarity these days). When I worked at Dungeness you could count on one hand the number of Turtle Doves that passed thru during spring migration. They used to be common! Story sounds kinda familiar doesn't it.

I'm with Tom if this isn't banned then I think we should invade Malta and kick some.
