I met my friend and rival Lewy last night. He was lording over all the different types of birds he's seen recently, many of which I find to be suspect. I also think his methods potentially endanger nesting species more than they protect. His netting and capturing technique leaves a lot to be desired.
It's been a slow day. Some gulls were behaving strangely and I though perhaps a King-Beaked Hi-Falcon might have been disrupting them, but it turned out just to be the binmen.

| Any birder worth their salt would know that the King-beaked hi falcon (note correct use of hyphen, in accordance with bbnc regulations) would not be present in Aberdeens skies until September at the earliest! Your inexperience shines through. | |||

| Nonsense! This is one of my favourite birds (perhaps only the gnarly-flitter is more charming), and I can assure you that it can be found in your country throughout the year. Try this article:

| Oh so clever Lewy, yes of course I know the King-Beaked Hi-Falcon (this IS is the correct hyphenation) is a September bird in Aberdeen, but the screeches of the seagulls were at a pitch that seemed to suggest that kind of falcon activity. Hence my surprise at such a possibility.
Eduardo, thank-you for your support but you may need to read up on birds a little more before you start getting into arguments with myself and Lewy. Edited by nev on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 4:07 PM

| Sir,
I ask that you think twice before unknowingly questioning a fellow birder's level of knowledge. You know nothing of my standing in the community, and I suggest that being amicable is your best choice. Having said that, I am enjoying some of your excellent rare bird spots! They seem to come on a daily basis! Incredible! Or, as I might say, Gwyo Xrrrch!
