| On the way to purchase the Sunday newspapers this morning, I heard a piercing cry. Expecting some kind of Sparrowhawk, I was astonished when I saw the magnificent sight of the mighty Unbelievable Falcon swooping down with a earnestly struggling Underhen captured in its beak. I grabbed the camera from my manbag and snapped a terrific pic! But it didn't end there. The screeching Underhen was not going to lie down and take this - oh no! Its crazy hollers had alerted some cousins, and things suddenly looked rather ominous for the Falcon for on the horizon a vast army of Royal Underhens began a terrifying offensive. WOW! My camera was at the ready! Then all of a sudden there was another cry - a crass, ugly, ungainly yell - and from above a dirty gull flew down and stole my camera. Oh no! And it was then that I woke up, all greasy and sweaty, to the sound of gulls fighting outside. It was just a dream, oh my. But what a start to the day! | ||

| Why would Royal Underhens flock together to attack another bird? And were they flying? | |||

| It was a dream you pompous asshole, don't expect hardcore reality. I'm not some kind of baby who doesn't know about Underhens' habits. I bet you couldn't tell a Royal from a Greater so don't ever question me on this again. | |||

| I wasn't meaning to affront you, merely asking a question. But FYI I'm quite aware the Royal is 3lbs heavier than the Greater (on average) and has the famed golden crown markings around its head. Both are flightless, except in high winds. Don't think you can get one over on me on underhens. | |||

| Your information is obviously lifted from a textbook circa 1994. I bet you're a friend of Lewy's. | |||

| I've read that Underhens can really be quite aggressive when provoked. The ground-nesting Thrifty Underhen has been reported to attack dogs that stray too close to nests.
My cousin a few years ago claimed that some sort of underhen, possibly a Norwegian Underhen, swooped into his back garden and went off with his pet rabbit. But from his descriptions of the bird it sounded more like a dwarf buzzard.

| Charlie, I don't know what you've been reading, but I do know that you should stop drinking so much. | |||

| Dream analysis is a major vogue these days. I am a practicioner of dream analysis, horo-scopes (some people actually believe that these are made up! They think that Pluto could in no way influence your love life! Fools!), tea-leaf reading and such-like.
I think that it is very likely that the Under-hen represents you, and that the falcon represents "the man" i.e. society. You feel constrained because so-ciety is trying hard to constrain you in its clutches. You tried to fight back on your own, but could not. But then the rest of the Under-hens (i.e. your friends or society at large) come to help you! You are wanted! Or maybe you want to be wanted? It is telling that your saviours were doing something that there is no chance they could do in flying to your aid. Maybe the root of this dream is that you have realized that society "has you" and there is nothing that you can do about it. You are small and helpless. Or may-be the moral is more uplifting, and your dream is saying "never give up! an Underhen can fly if it really wants to!". As I say to all my clients (male): Keep the dream, sir. Keep the dream.
