Birding on the west coast of Sweden

Wednesday, May 16, 2007 - New location, new birds to see?

Today has been a bad birding day. Have been outside for 40 minutes tops. The housemartins with nests under the roof were still five. One more is probably on eggs since there are three nests. Listened to blackbirds and chaffinches through the closed window for a while before I got out of bed.

Tomorrow will be better!
I'm going to a new location in the northern outskirts of the municipality. A total of 81 species were seen from there between 00 and 12 o clock the past sunday. I'm hoping for red-backed shrike and maybe icterine warbler and corn crake. Hen harrier is also quite possible if I'm lucky.

About Me

26 year old birder from Gothenburg, Sweden. My goal for 2007 was get above 200 life-ticks. I managed 215 and the goal for 2008 was to get to 250. Right now it looks like I might get to 250 year ticks which is of course even better.
