Birding on the west coast of Sweden

Saturday, May 19, 2007 - grasshopper warbler and thrush nightingale

did a ten minute bicycle birding round on the nearby field as mentioned earlier. Only one grasshopper warbler heard today. It sat in a bush very close to the road. As i snuck closer I even heard it fly past me to the shrubbery behind me. The other one usually resides closer to the stream, so maybe it was just out of earshot. On the way back home I heard a thrush nightingale from the ditch between the field and the road. New location species for me :)

About Me

26 year old birder from Gothenburg, Sweden. My goal for 2007 was get above 200 life-ticks. I managed 215 and the goal for 2008 was to get to 250. Right now it looks like I might get to 250 year ticks which is of course even better.
