Birding on the west coast of Sweden

Monday, May 28, 2007 - Need to go to Ytterby once more!

The Nightingale in Ytterby has gotten quite a lot of attention, so I guess it was only a matter of time before someone would find another rare bird in the area. This time it's a River Warbler, that basically can be heard simultaneously with the Nightingale. I need to go there again! It's still only 18 minutes by train but at a cost of SEK 40 or about €4. Plus a two kilometer walk from the train station.

On Thursday we're re-opening the archaeological excavation in Ytterby, but that's still almost two kilometers away from the bird spot. Too far to walk in a lunch break...

I'd like to "year-twitch" it as well, so let's see if we can have our new old pal drive there some day...

About Me

26 year old birder from Gothenburg, Sweden. My goal for 2007 was get above 200 life-ticks. I managed 215 and the goal for 2008 was to get to 250. Right now it looks like I might get to 250 year ticks which is of course even better.
