Birding on the west coast of Sweden

Sunday, June 3, 2007 - Today's target: Great Reed Warbler

Posted in Rarities
About simultaneously with the discovery of the Collared Flycatcher yesterday, a Great Reed Warbler was reported from Hökälla in the northern suburbs. We didn't go there yesterday since the trip alone would take well over an hour from where we were, but today we'll go get him :)

Indeed I am :) Too bad it won't be like this every year. I sometimes feel like I need to slow down the ticking a bit and save some for later. My goal for 2007 is 200 life ticks total, so after that I can relax :D

About Me

27 year old birder from Gothenburg, Sweden. Last year we twitched for year ticks. I ended up with 250 which is more than I had lifers when the year started. This year I'll go fairly easy on the year ticks (Though anything under 200 is shameful) but will instead aim for 300 life ticks in Sweden. A task and a half probably...
