Monday, October 22, 2007 - Parrot Crossbills
Yesterday's trip to Smithska udden resulted in a much waited for life-tick; Parrot Crossbill. The migration activity during that day was generally very low, but we got a quite high species count anyway. Five Parrot Crossbills came together with a Common Crossbill and rested in the trees around us for a while.

After a couple of hours of little or no activity I decided to follow the tits and Goldcrests around for a photo session. A Treecreeper had joined them but obviously preferred not to be photographed. The Goldcrests also evaded every attempt, so I turned to my friend the Crested Tit.

On my way back to the hilltop I ran into the assistant, who gave a performance of acrobatics.

About Me
26 year old birder from Gothenburg, Sweden.
My goal for 2007 was get above 200 life-ticks. I managed 215 and the goal for 2008 was to get to 250. Right now it looks like I might get to 250 year ticks which is of course even better.
