Lleyn Peninsula > Aber Geirch to Porth Towyn

89 Whimbrels in one field at SH259399 accompanied by

2 Bar-tailed Godwits one of which was a male in summer-plumage

3 Kittiwakes on rocks at Aber Geirch

10 White Wagtails Aber Geirch

8 Wheatears

3 Sedge Warblers

1 Wall Brown

Spent most of the afternoon and evening watching a very striking male Stonechat at Aber Geirch. It had a pure white rump, undertail, belly and sides of breast and xtra large white patches on collar and wings but probably too much orange on flanks to be a proper Eastern Race and it was paired to a normal female Stonechat which was a bit of a giveaway. Do I not like feather-abrasion [as former England manager Graham Taylor would say (if he was a birder)]
