Hi, I live in north wales and am visited every year by a pair of canada geese.this year they have babies.I thought they did not breed here? Am I wrong? can you tell me.

Hi Lesley,
They do breed in North Wales in some numbers, for example at the Anglesey lakes.
The UK population is resident here all year and does not migrate to Canada to breed. This is because our birds originated from escapes from captivity or deliberate introductions.
