Brookhouse Grove 1 Tawny Owl on the post at the end of my garden at 00:15 Knowsley Safari Park 1 Mediterranean Gull adult-winter on Singleton's Hill 1 Green Woodpecker juv in silver birch on Singleton's Hill 2-4 Ravens 2 north-west over Singleton's Hill at 08:35 and 2 north at 09:00 1 Egyptian Goose and 1 Cape Shelduck Section 1 Pit A Phylloscopus warbler showing characters of Bonelli's Warbler was with the Long-tailed Tit flock on the fence on the north side of Ranch Pond. Consistently looked larger than accompanying Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs; whiter underneath though not startlingly so; front-heavy structure similar to Wood Warbler but no obviously discernible face-pattern; green on wings but rump not seen and no calls heard. Has been in the area for at least 3 days but closer views needed to eliminate the possibility of a hybrid or attempt specific identification. | ||
