Although I went primarily to take photos of the penguins I found many other of the birds there equally captivating. Albatross were one such revelation. Prior to the trip I would have said that Albatross were "just big gulls". Having met them in the flesh I have a whole different feeling about them. Gulls are rowdy, argumentative and agressive birds. Albatross by comparison seemed much more gentle, tidy and affectionate. I love their nests. I love their courtship displays. I love the way they seem to cherish their chicks.

How quaint. But really I don't need it because I already have a blog on blogspot. Now what would be nice would be if I could publish my blogspot blog here via RSS - but like most sites it only seems to allow RSS out not in. Which kind of leaves me wondering what the point of RSS is. Ho hum.
