Sandy Andie

Max and Sarah brought Andie to the beach to celebrate Independence Day weekend. Andie hates fireworks, so she did not enjoy the evenings. She had a great time during the mornings and early afternoons, however, tidepooling and dead bird searching.

The low tide was nice and early on Friday, and Andie took advantage, eagerly seeking interesting invertebrates.

Max and Sarah stayed low to find creatures such as mossy chitons and keyhole limpets, but Andie prefered to stay high on the rocks.

On the way back to the beach house, Andie went crazy in the sand! She seemed to want to rub as much on her back and face as possible.

The next two days, Andie provided comic relief to the dead bird surveys by burying her nose in the sand and trying to chase birds such as bald eagles and California gulls.
