Winter bird hanging on This second year Glaucous Gull was still present at Kamiso. Pretty warm this afternoon and it didn't look too comfortable. Maybe it's sick? Actually it looks like it's either yawning or vomiting in this pic. Not much else around. 1 Black Headed Gull was the only other Gull species in amongst the hordes of Black Tailed and Slatybacked Gulls. A couple of OGR Warblers and this Black Kite were the only other things of any interest.  I'll do a bit more birding this week but after that I'll be taking a rest. Quite apart from the World Cup (which being at night here in Japan won't really affect daytime activities like birdwatching) summer means lots of insects everywhere and bird that are adept at hiding themselves in overgrown buggy places. 17:52 - 5/6/2006 - post comment
