Oriental Great Reed Warbler

Posted in Unspecified

A singing Oriental Great Reed Warbler at Asabu today. This is a very common bird across the region in summer. It's also very noisy. Usually singing at the top of a bush or clump of weeds by rivers everywhere this one obligingly sang from a telephone wire. The usual  stuff was present and the best bird of the day was a Goshawk. At Yakumo a couple of days ago a few Ducks were still around (Pintail, Wigeon and Scaup). That's pretty much about it birding-wise until mid August.......................we won't have much use of our car for a few weeks and the birding is predictable and the weather is too hot (an excuse England are already trotting out about tonight's game).

Good luck England. Go on-make my summer.

Where's the comment about Sven's not dropping Beckham and the way that affected the last game....
heh, heh.

Am enjoying your birding diary. Keep up the good work.
