Snow Snow Snow

Posted in Unspecified

Here's a pic of a park near my apartment. I've seen lots in this park but not today.Lots of snow again last night-in fact the last 2 or 3 weeks has seen the most snow I can remember since I've been in Japan. People shovel the snow to the side of the paths/roads and these piles of snow are already reaching head height in places. It also means it can be difficult to do any birding as the snow blocks the view. I took a brief walk this morning but not much about:a few Dusky Thrush, Winter Wren, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Common Teal and Black Kite as well as the half dozen ultra common species. The river was almost completely frozen. Took a look on the sea later...................nothing doing.
