More Waxwings

Posted in Unspecified

More heavy snow...............here's a pic of the Town Council shifting some of the huge piles of snow from in front of my flat. Hundreds of Dusky Thrush passing through and also a flock of 19 Japanese Waxwing (identifiable by red spot on tail and no wing markings). Otherwise only 1 male Daurian Redstart, a female Common Teal and the usual common stuff. There is some kind of local election going on which means electioneering cars drive around town blaring slogans through loudspeakers at maximum volume. As a dirty foreigner of course I'm not allowed to vote but if I could I'd vote for a) the quietest candidate or b) whichever candidate vowed to ban noisy electioneering.
