Saturday, March 22, 2008 - Good Day for Birding-Woodbury County

Thursday was the perfect day for birding here in Woodbury Co. weather-wise. About noon my mom and I went to The Square Wetlands and found 12 waterfowl species two being year birds (now up to 80 year birds). Also at The Square there was an American Coot, three Greater Yellowlegs, and a species of shrike which may have been Loggerhead but I couldn't tell because of the heat waves. In my hometown, Mourning Doves, American Robins and Common Grackles are back in good numbers. Spring is here!
