Birding with Tucker

Saturday, March 22, 2008 - More Migrant Waterbirds

My dad and I headed out today in search of waterfowl and found some interesting birds while doing it. The birds of the day were the Eared Grebe I found. I was looking at a pond and saw one male and two females floating near the shore. At the same pond I saw some other birds including Bufflehead, Canvasback, Lesser Scaup, Northern Shoveler, and Redhead. After that I went to Owego Wetlands and also saw a few ducks as well as a beatiful Great Blue Heron, which flew out of a ditch near us. A few year birds were seen and I had a good time. It couldn't get much better than that.
