Been out with Falklands conservation for the last two days counting penguins at Fanning head. the most northwest part of east falklands. Thanks to John and Michelle of race piont farm for the accommodation.(a great selfcatering cottage).

Thu-22-Oct-2009 - baird's sandpiper (Calidris bairdii)

At last, Had a call from Alan after work to say he had found the baird's sandpiper that have been around for a few weeks but I had not seen. there were also three speckled teal and two snipe around the pond.

There have been a few house sparrows in our garden as lawn just been mowed and they seem to like it, hard little things to get photograph of. Also a pair of black-chinned siskins visite us from time to time.Have put up a bird table (week ago) but as yet not one bird been on it.
