HMS Endurance steaming past big mac(big macaroni penguin conoly) on bird island south georgia. Weeks later her engine room flooded off south america. She was towed to the falklands and the piggy-backed back to england where damage is being accessed. hopefully she will be back in the south atlantic soon after repairs.

I like the optimism in the last sentence. From where I am sitting looking at the old girl I would say you photographed her for the last time in the Antarctic. Hope to meet up with you and Alan if and when I get back down there.
