Wed-21-Oct-2009 - speckled teal chick

Its all go, Saw this little guy on surf bay pond while out after work. lots of male geese around but not so many females guess they all on eggs now. There are two flightless steamer ducks nesting in our ware house at the dock. Not sure if there is two males aswell or if one has two females, one has been sitting for about a week and the other has been laying for 4 days. the Falkland thrush in our container park ware hse is now feeding young. The white tufted grebe on yorke bay pond has at last  got a mate . The lesser yellowlegs is still at yorke bay pond.
