The rapid transition from clear blue sky and light northerly winds early morning to total cloud-cover produced the first fall of the autumn: the 2 Tree Pipits, Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Spot. Fly. and 1 Wheatear were all grounded within a very small area on Singleton's
3 Wheatears - 1 viewable from east end of res. 3 along fence running east from cricket club, 1 at north end of res. 3, 1 around north-west corner of res. 4
