The wind has finally gone round to south-west, bringing renewed hope for seawatching - unfortunately it was still pretty dead this morning, with just 10 common scoter heading west, and a few manx shearwaters. Another check late morning produced a group of 5 arctic terns heading west, but nothing much else. | Other Irish news

Hey fella,
just a quick one to say that the Sooty has been seen off Co. Down today!!! Still though, keep the eyes peeled. Mad the way the bird just wanders off and is found again.
Say hi to the missus for me. How are the kittens??
Have a good one, talk to you soon

Sooty turned up in Dublin on Monday or Sunday. Madness. Not much happening here, managed to get out on Sat morning, picked up Chinese Egret which has been around for a couple of weeks...it's globally vulnerable so it was good to see it!! Not much else to report. Talk to you on MSN when you get you back!
