new in

A new yellow-browed warbler was at Shite Lane this morning, with c. 6 chiffchaffs, 4 goldcrests, a blackcap and a willow warbler. Dirk Bay had a firecrest, lesser whitethroat and ring ouzel as well as good numbers of chiffchaffs, goldcrests and 3 blackcaps. The 2 coal tits were also still present.

that's gotta hurt fella. Who had the Catharus sp. on OHK? Graham and Andre? I see there's a REV in Blacksod bay in Mayo and that langer had a Rosefinch on Cape. Went out birding today with Neil, Gabor and a guy called Mike Yough (american) to Fushimi-inari. Beautiful place, old bamboo forest, old primeval deciduous forest and stunning views. Picked up 2 lifers biy!! ARCTIC WARBLER (2) and JAPANESE LESSER SPROG (1)!!! Other birds of note were Oriental Honey Buzzard, Goshawk (3!), Brown and Grey-streaked Flycatchers. Am shattered aftre a 4.30 start but all worth it. Get out there this morning and find a yank in Dirk!!! Later
