In this week's photo essay, I think I'll start with the likely Eurasian X American Green-winged Teal seen at Brownsmead this morning. I've still not been able to find the pure Eurasian Teal reported from Astoria Sewage Ponds, however.
I've also been trying to build up my photo archive of common wintering species and managed a couple not too embarrassing shots. I found several cooperative Hermit Thrushes, yesterday. This is the best of a pretty decent series I took.
The feeder down the block has several dependable Townsend's Warblers coming to the suet feeder.
Golden-crowned Kinglets are often far too movious to get on film, but I got lucky at Shively Park.
