Green with envy?
At 2.45pm yesterday news broke of a possible green heron at schull in west cork....I sped to Ballinhassig where i transferred myself to DF's car and we made our way west.
When we arrived the bird had not been seen in 45 minutes but a chartered boat from cape clear was making its way into the cove where the bird wa last seen.
Suddenly a shout went up from DF and the bird floated by us at close range with a crab in its gob!
Immediately i thought it was an adult bird but was told off for believing such fallacy!;)
time will tell.
The bird flew back to the island later and gave stunning views on the deck.
Class!!
